Return Policy

Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or incorrect so that we may evaluate and resolve any issues before you leave a negative comment.  Our goal is your complete satisfaction.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item(s) to request a return.  We will accept returns, less shipping costs, for items:

  1. with a manufacturer’s defect, where you can exchange the item(s) (with complimentary shipping where no additional shipping cost is charged to you for the replacement/exchange) or you may request a refund for the item’s purchase price plus any applicable taxes.
  2. with no manufacturer’s defect, where you return an item in the same condition that you received it (in its original packaging, unopened, and unused) for a refund of the item’s purchase price plus any applicable taxes.

Please note that we do not reimburse any shipping costs at all whether the item is defective or not.

 

Procedure for returning an item or items:

Please email a request for a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) Number to our help desk at: Support@TheSelfProtectionStore.com.  ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE AN RMA NUMBER. If you return something without an RMA Number, this WILL cause a delay in processing the return. In your email, please include your name, your Order Number, item(s) being returned, reason(s) for the return, and if you are requesting an exchange or refund for the item(s). Upon receipt by us of your RMA request email, we will respond within one business day with instructions for returning the item(s).

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return.  If accepted and we are exchanging a defective item or items, you will not be charged for our shipping the replacement item(s) back to you. If accepted and you are returning the defective item(s) for a refund, the appropriate amount of refund will be processed (minus shipping costs). If you are returning a non-defective item, it MUST be in its original packaging, never opened and never used. You will NOT receive any credit for items returned that have been previously opened or that are in non-resalable condition. NO EXCEPTIONS. Reminder: we do not refund/credit any original shipping costs.

Please allow up to 7 business days for an exchange or refund to be processed by us.  The amount of time it takes to actually receive your refund will also depend on your original payment method or provider.
